India’s Male Cosmetics Market on the Rise

Expected to top $600 million by 2016

An increasingly available number of cosmetics and skin care products, along with growing advertising, are drawing more Indian men into the cosmetics and personal care market. Top-selling products include fairness creams, face wash, shaving products and deodorants. According to a recent research report “India Male Cosmetics Market – Consumer Insight 2012” published by Kuick Research, the Indian male cosmetics market is expected to reach $ 600 million by 2016.

The report says cosmetics companies operating in the Indian market will continue to launch products specific to male usage in the next two to three years. The focus of these companies will be to expand their consumer base and stimulate the usage of cosmetics products by Indian men through launching new products.
